Women in Isolation
Women in Isolation presents the viewer with a series of photographic studies of women during the lockdown of Covid-19. Each shoot was conducted via video call, adhering to social distancing rules, where the photographer directed each sitter in terms of how to sit and pose during the shoots. The women were then asked to reflect upon how they had been feeling and coping during lockdown. The choice to photograph women during lockdown is based upon the research conducted by King’s College London during lockdown. The research showed that women were more effected by the lockdown, as it was shown that they represented 64% of the sufferers group during lockdown caused by Covid-19.
