Project Positive Impacts is a photographic project which is looking at the representation of figures within the LGBTIQA+ community who have made a positive impact on the community. Which hasn’t been well represented in photography previously.
Through the photographs taken for the series, I wanted to represent the positive impact these figures were having on the community. I will be continuing the series in the future as to further better represent the community. For the photographs, I wanted the figures to choose where the photographs were taken as to link them to the places that they felt comfortable within.
I would like to thank all of the figures who have participated in this series; Christopher Owen (42nd Street MCR), Paul Harfleet, Louise Honey, Sally Carr (Proud Trust), Iain Scott (Canal Street Online), Kieran Bohan (Open Table Network), and Jez Dolan.
